There’s no better choice to pilot the new EBR 1190RX in competition than Geoff May. He’s an accomplished top AMA rider with many top finishes in AMA Superbike, not the least of which have been his great results in 2012 and 2013 racing AMA Superbike on the EBR 1190RS. “I love being with this team. Going to WSBK for the first time with a brand new American motorcycle is an incredible and brave effort, and that suits me just fine! With the EBR guys behind me and this amazing motorcycle getting its first full season in the toughest Superbike series, I guarantee we’ll have a lot of fans in 2014, and we’ll learn a lot for 2015” says May. We agree!

It was exciting news to hear that Aaron Yates is going to pilot the Team Hero/EBR 1190RS sponsored by AMSOILin the 2014 World SuperBike series. He’s an accomplished top AMA rider with 20 years of experience, filled with a number of AMA championships and Superbike podiums. Teamed up with Geoff May, his team mate from Jordan Suzuki in the past and on the EBR 1190RS in AMA Superbike last season, these guys have the right chemistry to handle the huge task of learning how to prepare the new 1190RX for world competition, and to help each other learn all new tracks. “I am so energized with this opportunity. When EBR brought me and onboard for Team AMSOIL/Hero in 2013 AMA season, I knew we would be able to hit the ground running. Geoff and I are good friends, and work really well as teammates. Now we have to attack the gigantic mountain of learning how to take this new EBR 1190RX all the way up to the WSBK level in modifications, to work with a new team and to figure out tracks we have never seen. This is just the thing to keep me motivated; I love being an underdog.” says Aaron.
